Adobe Illustrator file extension, e.g. mygraphicartwork.ai
Nowadays most file extensions are compatible across a wide range of graphics programs. Adobe Illustrator was one of the first and was predominantly used with Apple. They have since broadened their scope so that the Illustrator graphic design program and file capabilities are available to more users.
